I think you should buy her an electric shaver and not let her go beyond the knees. All her friends are probably doing it. My daughter was 10 when she shaved. I didn't bring it up, neither did she. My husband did, she had very dark hair on her legs. After it was all said and done, she loved it! She was so proud like being a grown up woman without all the makeup!!!

I WAS 11 WHEN I STARTED SHAVING. I WANTED TO BECAUSE ALL MY FRIENDS WERE BUT I BELIEVE THAT AROUND 11 IS A GOOD TIME FOR GIRLS TO START SHAVING BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING INTO THAT STAGE OF WANTING TO DO VERY GROWN UP THINGS AND TO ME SHAVING IS BETTER THAN HER GOING OUT AND TRYING OTHER THINGS THAT COULD BE BAD AND CHNAGE HER LIFE IN A BAD WAY. BUT IN THE END IT IS YOUR CHILD AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR HER AND YOUR FAMILY

My friend had the same problem when we were young. She had blonde hair but everyone else did it so she started. I has been one of the things she has regretted the most, as it grew back darker nad became more noticible than it ever was. I started shaving mine when I was 12 as everyone else was. I think it would be best to try and explain to Keely why she might regret it (as my friend did) and then let her make her own decision from there.

Best of luck to you both. I hope it works out for Keely.
Ella

Maybe you could try giving her some Nair, Veet, or any other hair removal cream. That way, she doesn't actually have to shave.

Dear Everyone,

First off, I'd like to thank all of you for your great advice and commments. They've helped me immensely. Secondly, I plan to talk to Keely later today about it. If things work out well, we'll probably go to the store sometime today, and buy her some hair removal cream, or a razor. Which ever she prefers.

Thanks again, and keep the advice coming!

I recommend this brand of razors, Gillete Venus. They offer a variety of razors to choose from, and all of them are great!
Here's the website...
