Picky husband driving me nuts! (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Picky husband driving me nuts! By puppy573 3 Years, 10 Months Ago Pregnant with twins - went to the ultrasound today and there is one girl, and the other baby wouldnt show its anatomy. I for sure need one girl name....and then one possible boy name, and another girl name until we find out the gender of baby 'B'.
I was all excited, thinking of all these cutesy names for our girl. Emma, Molly, Marley, Mia, Bella, Addyson (ADDY)......my husband shot all those names down straight away. He says that someone with those names wouldnt be taken seriously in the business world. Him being a lawyer himself, said that someone with the name Elizabeth sounds smarter than someone with the name Molly...which annoyed me having the name WHITNEY, which is along the same lines as "MOLLY'. The only names he likes are as follows : Samantha (sammy) Elizabeth (lizzy) Charlotte (no nn yet) Scarlett (no nn yet) and for a boy : luke....and thats the ONLY name he likes. I need suggestions on more names along this line, for one. And for two, is there anyway I can encourage him to lighten up and be more open minded? Thanks everybody. I need help, desparately.

By CourtneyMadison 3 Years, 10 Months Ago Suggestions -
Lauren Danielle Courtney Elizabeth Katharine [you could call her Katie] Just tell him you never know your child might not want to get into the business world she might want to do something completely different. My personal favorite is Katharine. It sounds professional in the business world but you can call her Katie which is girly :] Hope this helped tell me what you think ! By Igrid 3 Years, 10 Months Ago Dear Picky Husband,
You are the one carrying the baby right? well the nyou should also have a right to pick a name, not just your husband. If you dont like a name he picks or you like a name that you picked and he turned down, you tell him why you liked that name and give reasons to support it. If he insists going with a name that you hate, you tell him that he can get pregnant himself and pop it out and name it . but since this is YOUR BABY TOO you have way over half the right to choose a name.

Re:Picky husband driving me nuts! By susieqzee 3 Years, 10 Months Ago Sorry, I disagree with you. Forcing onto the hubby that since we carry our babes, we have all the rights is a terrible way to start out as being parents.
This should be fun, and something you do together. if he does not like a certain style, I am sure that in over 5,000 names you can agree with something. Just please do not use the I am the one carrying this baby card!!

By TannahVictoria 3 Years, 10 Months Ago If you find the right name I'm sure you'll find those aren't the only names he likes.
I like the names Jordyn, Courtney, and Isabel (or Isabella etc.)for a girl Try to get him to compromise =] ~*Tannah Victoria*~

By CourtneyMadison 3 Years, 10 Months Ago To meet both of your standards pick a name that sounds professional, but you can give it a cute nickname such as Elizabeth you could call her Lizzie or Liz. Or Katharine you could call her Katie Or Kate.
Katharine Lily sounds cute
