By Sabrina Maggard 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Hey, so this is my problem......there are TONS of people in my family. I am one of 6 kids.....and my mom was one of 7 kids, and my name was one of 8 kids. (Birth control, anyone? lol - just kidding) ANYWAY.....so each one of my parents siblings has at leas 3 or 4 kids of their own....my point? With all of us grown up and starting families, all of the good names my husband and I love are being used. We are expecting twin girls.....and all of the names my husband loves are currently being used by extended family : Elise, Ella, Sophia, Emma, Isabella, Taylor, Claire, Caitlin, Carissa, Brooke, Amelia, Mya, Emerson....oh yeah, the list goes on and on. The thing is, I hardly see any of these people. Its been 5 or more years since I have seen any of them.....and we dont talk on the phone either. So would it be bad to repeat a name since almost ALL of our favorites are currently being used? Your honest thoughts would be appreciated.

Re:HELLLPPPPP! I have an issue... By Granny Nora 3 Years, 9 Months Ago I think that you can re use a name. I got onto the web and looked up the Osmonds brothers names, and then looked up each one of their names and then their website's popped up and I saw first cousins with the same names, it was interesting, some had children with unique names and some had duplicate names. Do what you want to do If the middle name is different then the name is different.

By Kelli 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Both myself & my first cousin have the same name Kelli/Kelly. We live half way across the country from each other & we were born 3 days apart. Our mothers ( who happen to be sisters ) figured we are too far apart for it to matter ( they just changed the spelling ). We only met each other three times. At 1 1/2 yrs, at 9 yrs & at 28 yrs. So I say go ahead & name your baby whatever you choose & if you happen to repeat a name, then maybe the children will have a special bond. With the list you provided my faves are Caitlin ( Katelyn, Kaitlin etc) & Brooke ( Brooklyn ).

Re:HELLLPPPPP! I have an issue... By susieqzee 3 Years, 9 Months Ago I come from a HUGE family. We have so many variations of Chris..Christopher, Christian, Christine, Christina, Kristina, we even have 3 couples, the men named Chris who married Christines.
My sister had 3 sons, Matthew, Gregory and Anthony, and a grandson named Zachary.A middle name is James. Along comes my daughter, and she has 6 boys, and one is Gregory, one Matthew, one Zachary,a middle name is James. My sis finally said, hey can't your daighter come up with any names on her own! But my daughter lives in Alaska, no one has even met her boys, so it doesn't really matter,

Re:HELLLPPPPP! I have an issue... By cdv 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Oh absolutely!! Use what you will. If you lived almost next door to each other ... even then a fave. could be a mn. The names you listed could be changed ever-so-slightly .. a K for a C ... I love Taylah for Taylor if it's a Girl and Emmerson with a 'double m' ... and so on ... or just use as-is.
So sort out what combo's you want and maybe we can give some suggestions if you require any.
