I know Talisa's legit, so I'm assuming Telisa's just a variant on that? It means "my God is a vow"

It's the same name only spelled different. I'm glad it has such a great meaning. Again thank you.

I googled this:

The girl's name Talisa \t(a)-li-sa\ is of Spanish origin, and its meaning is "of noble birth". Can also be used as a combination of Talia and Lisa.

For more information, see also the related name Ta-.

Baby names that sound like Talisa are Talise and Telisa. Other similar baby names are Jalisa, Kalisa, Talisha, Talina, Talija, Talita and Taisa.

Talisa is a very rare female first name and a very rare surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census). Displayed below is the baby name popularity trend for the girl's name Talisa. Click here to compare Talisa with related baby names.

I looked under more sights, and they say it is a Samoan and an Austrailian name, but give no meaning.

I went the Talisa route and here is what I got:

Gender:
Girl

Origin:
Sanskrit

Meaning:
My God is a vow

Pronunciation:
(tah LEE sah) [Guide]

So how ever it is, it is a lovely name and one to be proud of!!!
