My parents named me Amy when i was born and my 7 year old sister didn't like the name so she walked down to the nursery and told the nurse my mum and dad had change there mind and they wanted Catherine instead, so the nurse change it and they wheeled my back through to my mum with the name Catherine written on the side of the basinet. My mum said (to the nurse) thats the wrong baby her names Amy and the nurse told her my sister said to change it and so they kept it as Catherine. My sisters still very proud of that story 24 years later and it makes my name feel quite special even though its really common.

I have 3, but a 2 yo girl with a really strange name...Galaxie! We didn't find out the sex, so we each picked 3-5 names for each sex. My DH had some odd, not so chic names, that I totally poo-pooed! So, to respond to his absurdness, I chose the most off the wall G name from the baby book. And it seemed to stick, he thought it was a great idea.(go figure) Family, shocked and very unsupportive at first, but like any name it fits!

im not sure where mine came from but all of my brothers sisters & i have irish names were a very irsih family lol & i just remember my sisters name from when i was 8 & i tried to name her Emily Elizabeth but she ended up being Mary Clare but here are our names

Well since I was born 11 years after my youngest brother.
My dad named me HE wanted either Brie or Alan I was like huh? Alan is a boy's name - Spelt like that. But in the end he put them together to get Brieal

hello. i'm a first time mom and i'm expecting a little baby girl very soon. please, do you think that you can reccomend me some names? i REALLY want it to be unique and have a nice vibe to it when you say it. also, im desperatly want her to have a nickname as well. im VERY worried that not just any name will be perfect for my baby (or maybe that's just a new-mom disease).
