I like Hudson Reid.

I think its the a in Madalyn I don't like. Madelynne looks much better to me if you don't like Madeleine.

Jaelyn is actually a name. It's in the baby name book. It is spelled that way in the book, but it has many different spellings. It's my 2 grandmother's names put together...so I liked it. But recently I've been looking at it like I might not like it so much anyway. ;)

Actually, it isn't. Just because it is in a baby name book doesn't make it a name. Modern baby name books are hideously incorrect with their insight on what is actually a name. I'm sure this book also lists the likes of Aubrey, Meredith and Madison as female names, doesn't it? You also say yourself that it is a smoosh of two names.. again enforcing the fact that it isn't actually a legit name.

HOWEVER, the fact that this 'name' has special meaning to you with your grandparent's names together makes it a hell of a lot better than if you just liked the name. It makes Jaelyn usable and endearing. I'd suggest using it as a middle name, though.

Again, sorry for the harsh-ness; It's just, you're naming your baby, you deserve to know the facts.
Sorry again.
