I think it's more acceptable for men to name their sons after them. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because men have bigger ego's lol.

I personally don't like it, I kind of think it's a little narcisistic (sp?). If Peanut is a boy his middle name will be after my husband and I like that. But clone names are a little wierd IMO.

I like the way Victor and Nikki did it, with Nicholas and Victoria. Then there was no Junior...just variations of parents names. My ex was named Gerald. We had a daughter Jeri. She was NOT named after him, we just saw the name and thought it was very cute, but most ppl assumed her name was short for Geraldine after her dad. we just set them straight, no biggie.

I know lots of ppl that use their name somehow into their kids' names. The ones I find odd are ones like George Foreman naming all his sons after him or Michael Jackson naming his sons Prince Michael the 1st and Prince Michael the 2nd.

I know a man who's 1st name was Gale. They had 7 kids. All the girls middle names were Gayl and the boys middle names were Gale.
Lastly I know a young cpl and the Dad'd middle name is Michael. They have 4 little boys and each one has the middle name Michael.
To me..that is overkill.

Me and my Mom share the midle name Patricia and I love having that to share.

im not sure about it i think giving your child a ridiculous version of your name is stupid but if you can do it & they still have their own names i say do it like Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smiths two kids they named their first born (a son) Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (after his mom) & their next (a daughter) Willow Camille Reign Smith (after dad) & Will has an older son from a previous relationship named Willard Christopher Smith ||| & he goes by Trey i actually like Willows name & Jadens is cute too so if you can do it like that then i say go for it!

I think it is cleaver! My daughter Lindsey and her husband Joe named their daughter Josie. Get it? The Z sound and the Joe was all added in.
