i think the flu shot is a waste of time I know they are going to try to get me to have it since I am 19 weeks but its not happening

i didn't let them give it to my daughter either

as far as the chicken pox vaccine i know that in the states they have to have it to start school or they have to have proof that they have had the chicken pox.
My daughter had the shot because her dad was immune to the chicken pox he also had to have the shot

the US requires you to have the vaccination for the chicken pox before starting school or they require you to have proof that you've had it?

They must have changed that law since I was a kid then, because my brother got it from someone at school, and my mom made sure we all got it.

However, if something is against your moral beliefs they really can't make you get them for your child. This I know to be true, because I never received all of my hep b shots, and I was still allowed to go to school even though state law required me to have them. And for the record, my mother did actually try to get them for me, but was told by the dr that I probably shouldn't have them, because of the last time they vaccinated me, which ended up with me having a seizure before the needle was out, having my brain swell, and absolutely god awful headaches for about 6 months. And she had to tell them it was against her moral beliefs, otherwise they wouldn't have let me go back to school.

Yeah there is some kind of blood test that they can do to see if you have had the chicken pox.

I dont know about the moral beliefs clause I am sure there is some one somewhere who has been able to bypass the law

but yeah you have to have the shot before you can go to school the law has been changed for a while now because my daughter is 10 and in 5th grade and she had to have proof to enter kindergarten

My son had the flu shot at 16 months (doctors recomendation) and had an extremely bad reaction, we thought we were going to lose him. I have never been against vaccine's but i would never ever get the flu shot done again.
