I don't post pictures but i don't ahve any problem in saying my son's name i just say my son more often i don't know why lol now the DS and DD is a bit too much but if some parents don't want to say their children names it's up to them and we have to respect their decision.

And Seaason you trust poeople on babyhold but there are 100000000 of people visiting it everyday that you don't know, that's why i don't post pictures here, someone stole my pics on myspce already like if i was some celeb or something.

I think every knows my kids full names. I have posted first and middle names all the time and they are on my page, and i have mentioned my last name on multiple occasions, but there isn't any way anyone can find out anything...
But i don't feel safe posting recent pictures of the boys. I don't mind when they were babies because they have completly changed the way they look.

Maybe sometimes people don't think it's necessary to give their child's name out...or that it would be stupid so they just put DD or DS?

Like on craigslist, peole go there to buy things, not go there to find out about your personal life.

If you dont mind me asking, why can you post baby pictures, but not now pictures? I thought the only reason to not post pictures was so they dont get stolen? But baby pictures can get stolen too..

I think it is a "maternal instinct". As a mother you naturally want to protect your children from anything that could potentially harm them. I've gone back and deleted pictures and full names after posting them on this site, just because it didn't feel right to have them floating on the internet. I understand your point of view, it's not logical to sit around thinking someone is going to find out who your kid is, go his school and steal him, just because you post his first name on the internet, but you know, anything is possible. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I think it's just a safety issue for some moms.

I had posted pictures of Jake about 2 years ago when he was 2 and in the picture it was him bitting the end of his blanket that had "Jacob Travis" on it and some creep had seen them and they happend to live relatively close by and we were at the mall one day and the guy came up to him calling him his full name and talking about his blanket trying to get him to go with him and it scared the hell out of me and ever since then i've had a fear of posting recent pictures.
