Re:First (long) Girls list By Colbi 4 Months, 1 Week Ago I'm going to use colors...and comment on some.
PURPLE - Love GREEN - Like RED - Not a fan BLUE - Neutral Aaliyah Abriana - This is a bit too close to Aubriella, but it could work as a middle name? Abrielle - Definitely too close. Even as a middle name Acacia Adabella - Is this pronounced AID-uh-bella-uh...or ADD-uh...? Adalia Adalyn Adora Aelwen/Aelwyn Aerilyn Aerys Ailey Aimelie/Amelie - LOVE (prefer Amelie) Ainsley Aislyn - Are you pronouncing this the Irish/Welsh way (Ash-leen), or the "American" way (Ayz-lin or Eyez-lin)? I really like the American pronunciation, not a fan of Ash-leen. Aiyana Alessandria Alexys Alisamber Alleyaiesha Alyssa Alyvia Alyxia Amaranthe Amariyah Anabella Anabryn Anaiyah Angelique Annemarie Anwyn Anyssa Arabella Arabelle Aria - This would fit nicely with your subset, too! You'd have a good pattern with every other child using "A" as the first name, "A" as the middle name Ariana Arianwen - I'm not sure how this is pronounced Arwen Aryan - Is this pronounced like Air-ee-an? If so, that might be a little...awkward. Ashlynn Ashtyn Aspen Athena Aubriana - Too close Aurelia - Beautiful. My favorite so far Aurora Avalia Aveline - I like if pronounced like line instead of leen Aviana Avonlea Azalea Azrielle Azura Azure Beatrix Becca Bella Bellatrix Belle Berlynn - I MUCH prefer Berlin, but I still love it Beth Bianca Bliss - I am not trying to be rude, but this name could very easily cause quite a bit of teasing. Blodwyn Briar Briar-Rose Briarleigh Brielle Brienne Brinley Bristol - This is a new love afair for me! Britton/Brittyn Bronwyn Brooke Brookelyn - Again, I prefer the traditional Brooklyn Brylee Brynn Brynna Bryony Cadence Caelyn Caerwyn Cailey Cali Calista/Kalista Calla Calliope Cambree/Cambrie Cambriyah - I like Cambria well enough, but I really dislike this spelling. It's a bit too phonetic for my tastes. It looks like a typo, almost. Camsyn - I like Camden a whole lot. Caoimhe - This is a really pretty name...she would just have a tough time with it here in America. Carys Celesta Charisma Charlotte Claire Contessa Coral Coralie Coralynn Corinna Courtley/Courtlie Crimson Crystabel Cyanna Daevah Dahlia Dakotah Dawn Dusk Ebony Echo Eden Egypt Ella Ellasyn - I like Ellison Elliana Ellowyn Eloyse Ember Emberleigh/Emberly Emerald Emersyn - Prefer on a boy, but it's cute Emmeline - As above, I like if pronounced line rather than leen. Emmy Emory Essence Ever - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Everleigh - So cute (of course, I prefer Everly...but I've think you've gathered that we have different views when it comes to spelling Evoni/Evony Evynn - LOVE the name Evan on a girl. Faith Fallyn Fantasia Faye Fern Fiona - This would probably be something I like a lot more if I didn't have such a negative personal association. It's a shame that one personality can ruin such a lovely name, right? Francesca Galadriel Galatea Garnet Gemma Genesis Gracelyn Guinevere Gwendolyn Gwennan/Gwyn-Anne Gypsy Hannelore Harper Havyn Heathyrre Hermione Hollyn Honour Hosanna Imogen Irelyn Iris Isabel/Isobel/Yzobel Isadora Isis Isla Isla-Belle Ivory Ivy - Another negative association Jadelyn Jaide Jaidyn Jaidyn-Marie Jaiyana Jessalyn Jewel Jocelyn Josephine Journey Juliette - Not as a first name, but it's a beautiful middle name. My neice's name is Aurelia Juliette. Aria Juliette is also really pretty. Juniper Kamisyn Karissa Kayliana Keziah Kherringtyn - Again with the spelling, this looks a bit like a typo. Perhaps without the "h" it might fair better? Kerringtyn even? I think it might be a purple in that case. Kiana Kiara Lakyn - This is pretty. I went to school with a Larkin and I always liked it. Lavender Lexi Liberty Lilac Liliana Lissi - Better as a nickname Livia LizBeth - is the "B" supposed to be a capital? Lisbeth is a lovely name. Lotte/Lottie Lucetta Lucia Luciana Lucretia Lucy Lynae/Lynnae Lyric Madigan Maelyn/Maylinn Maeve Magnolia Maiya Makenna Marguerite Matilda Mauraleigh Meadow - Always a favorite...and of course I'm not biased! Memorie Mercedes Mercy Merit Mirabel Moira Morriganne - Not sure how this is pronounced. Naomi Niamh - Another beautiful name that might have issues here in the states. Nixie Noelle - beautiful middle name! Noemi Nova Novaleigh Nyree Nyssa Oceana Odessa Odette Oleisha Olexa Onyxia Opal Opalescence Ophelia Orabella Oraleigh Orchid Oriana Paesyn Paige Paisley Patience Pearl Peony Pepper Phaedra Pixie Poppy Prairie Primrose Priya Promise Quindolyn Quinlan Quinley Quinn Quintessa Raelyn/Raelynn Ravenna Reina Rhapsody Rhiannon Rhys Rosalia Rowan - This is crept up to be my favorite girl name right now! (Other than Micah, of course!) Ruby Ryssa Saffron Saige Saoirse Sapphira Savannah Scarlet Serafina/Seraphina Serendipity Serenity Shaelie Shaelyn Shiyleigh Sienna Silvana/Sylvana Siobhan Snow Sonnet Starr Starrlie Story Symphony Syrenna Tamber Tamberlie Tambryn Tamika Tamsyn Taranae/Tarané Taryn Taurienna Taylibella Temperance Tempest Teralyn Tess Tessa Teyla Thea Thessalie Thistle Tiana Tiara Tierney Timberli Timpani/Timpany Tirzah/Tyrzah Toriella Treasure Treyciella Trinity Trixie True Truly Trysta Twilight Unique Unity Vanessa Verity Verona Veronica Vienna - I can see the appeal if this name, but all I can think about is sausages.... Viola Violet Whisper Willow Wrynn - Is this like Wren? If so, I LOVE it. Wren is one of my favorite middle name choices! Wynter Xanthe Xennia Xia Zipporah Zoey Zoriana Zuri Zurina In Summary, my favorites are: Amelie Alyvia Aria Aurelia Azalea Berlynn (Berlin) Briar Bristol Emmeline (if Em-uh-line, not Em-uh-leen) Ever Everleigh (Everly) Evynn (Evan) Isla Lyric Madigan Maeve Meadow Rowan Last Edit: 2013/01/13 02:59 By Colbi.

QUOTE: It's add-uh-bell-uh. QUOTE: I pronounce it Ayz-lin. I also like Ash-lin/Ash-ling, but prefer different spellings for those pronunciations. QUOTE: Air-ee-an-win QUOTE: Yes. I don't care about the association. I still think it's a pretty name. QUOTE: I haven't decided which way I like better because I do really like both. QUOTE: I get the whole teasing potential with this name, but I really like it as a middle name. QUOTE: This one I actually pronounce Em-uh-lin. I don't really care for the line or leen pronunciations. QUOTE: I actually have a (female) friend named Evin and I've always thought her name was pretty kewl. Re:First (long) Girls list By Alisamber 4 Months, 1 Week Ago I'll just leave the ones I really like, and with your last name in mind, sibset, etc. I may make a few comments here and there, but I think I've mostly commented on your lists before. Pretty much for the -line endings, I always prefer the line pr over the leen pr, too.
Acacia Adalyn Adora Aerilyn Aimelie/Amelie Ainsley Alessandria Alisamber Alleyaiesha Alyvia-I know people pr this the same as Olivia, but Alyvia is soooooooo much better for me, and actually makes me like the name! Annemarie Aria Ariana Ashlynn Avalia Aveline Aviana Avonlea Becca Beth Briar Briarleigh Brinley Bristol Brooke Brookelyn Brylee Bryony Caelyn Caerwyn Cailey Cali Calista/Kalista Calla Calliope Cambree/Cambrie Cambriyah Caoimhe-yeah, I would just spell it Keva or Keeva Coral Coralie Coralynn Courtley Daevah Dahlia Dakotah Ember Emberleigh/Emberly Emerald Emmy Emory Ever Everleigh Evony-I love the letter V! Haha. Francesca-I like it if the the first C is an S sound, and not a CH sound; I would spell it Fransesca. Gracelyn Havyn Heathyrre Hosanna Irelyn Jewel Juliette Juniper Kayliana Kherringtyn-would probably spell Keringtyn? Kiana Kiara Lakyn Lavender Lexi Liberty Lilac Liliana Livia LizBeth Lotte/Lottie Lyric Maelyn/Maylinn Maeve Makenna Mauraleigh Meadow Memorie Mercy Merit Mirabel Naomi Noelle Noemi Nova Novaleigh Prairie Priya Reina Ruby Savannah Scarlet Serafina Tamber Taryn Verity Whisper Willow Wrynn Wynter Zuri

QUOTE: I don't pronounce Olivia and Alyvia the same which is why I like Alyvia but not Olivia. Olivia I pronounce with the Oh sound at the beginning and Alyvia with the uh sound which makes it sound so much nicer to me. QUOTE: I like the ch sound. Somehow Fran-sess-kah just sounds too "frilly" while Fran-chess-kah is more "spunky" which I like. IDK, I hope you understand what I mean there. QUOTE: Thanks for the suggestion, but Kherringtyn is the only spelling that looks right to me. Kinda like with Aaliyah, any other spelling just looks weird and almost like it's a totally different name.

Re:First (long) Girls list By Alisamber 4 Months, 1 Week Ago That's cool you actually pr Olivia and Alyvia differently.
I totally understand what you mean about Francesca. If I was going to use the S sound, I would spell it Fransesca. If I was going to use the CH sound, I would spell it Francheska. Haha. Oh, what do you think about Keyva as another spelling?
